I put my "How to make a CG movie" video ("How it's done..." on the CGI Projects page) on YouTube, and it's just passed 3,000 views. I'm rather chuffed. As always, if you have any comments or suggestions, just use the "Contact Julian Tewkesbury" link below.

So, here we are at the beginning of 2012. The last part of 2011 was taken up with doing CGI ribbons untying themselves for seasonal page on the Burberry web site (I did a few other things as well). It was a surprisingly huge job, involving cloth simulations which had to be done and then tested over and over again, but the results were quite nice. My client, a web design company in London, seemed to be happy enough. They have asked me to do another job for them this month.

Fund raising has started for the further development of the "TyHa'an" project (see www.tyhaan.com). Need £60,000, so it's going to be a bit of a long haul. Still, we'll see how it goes.

If you have a moment, please visit the "TyHa'an" web site and push the FaceBook "Like" button. The more "Likes" we get, the better!

Just heard that the London project has been cancelled. Pain! Oh, well. Other irons in the fire, thankfully. I'll chase them up!

Fund raising is still under way for the further development of the "TyHa'an" project (see www.tyhaan.com). Currently need £58,000: some way to go, but it's a start. If you know someone who might like to help, please visit the "Make it happen" page of the TyHa'an web site for more information.

Also in process of talking to a producer who may have some ways of helping the project along.

Friday 3rd February 2012

Just discovered that the opening page of this site doesn't work under Mac OSX Lion. My apologies if you arrived there and were greeted by a blank box. At least the navigation bar still works at the bottom of the page, so you can find your way while I'm coming up with a solution to the problem.

I discovered the other day that my "How to make a CGI movie" video (click here to view) has now had over 6,700 views on YouTube. That's good. You never know where these things will lead: the Burberry job cam out of a video of some CGI snow that I put on YouTube...
