It's a Boy!

A half-hour re-telling of the Christmas story from the point-of-view of three quails who manage, mostly by misfortune, to be at all the major events leading up to Christ's birth.

Julian directed the film. It was made in collaboration with Redwing Animation (www.redwinganimation.com) and TANK Creative, London. Julian was also one of the animators, the storyboard/layout artist, and was responsible for the lighting (of all scenes except the first one), clean-up animation, Syflex cloth simulation for all the human characters, editing and half of the music score.

It's a Boy! was distributed to every Primary School in the UK in November 2005, after a premiere at the Odeon, Leicester Square in London. It will be re-released on DVD in a polished and up-dated form in September 2006.
